Reicse is a Norfolk based actor set on reaching for the stars. She received her acting training from Old Dominion University and cherished her time on the ODURep stage. She spent her time striving to become a theatre “jack of all trades,” experimenting both on stage and behind the curtain. As an artist, she is keen on telling stories of connection and the human spirit, bonding both to those on stage and to those in the audience. The subtle message found behind a glance, the intention within a touch, she wants to explore it all. She wants to tell stories that highlight the deep, intimate connection that you have within yourself, the soul that you are inhabiting, and the people watching. Theatre is both an art and an act of service.
I was always the artist in my family. I was full of songs, drawings and daydreams, and I wanted to try everything. I found myself going from art kits to ballet shoes, from a trombone to stage makeup. While I still have a love for all of these things, theatre is what has made the strongest home in my heart. Acting, whether that be on stage or on screen, is what calls to me the loudest. I truly cannot imagine what my life would be like had I not decided to take that theatre class in seventh grade, and keep with it all of these years. Theatre is permanently ingrained into my being, and I’m all the better for it.
